Update: Police Arrest Driver in Pedestrian Hit-and-Run

Police arrested 21-year-old Justin McGlamry in connection with a hit-and-run in Five Points early Friday.

Columbia Police arrested a Lexington County man accused of hitting two pedestrians in Five Points and driving away early Friday, according to news reports.

Justin McGlamry, who turned 21 Thursday, was charged disregarding a stop sign and two counts of hit-and-run with personal injury, one of those charges including great bodily injury, according to booking reports.

A man and a woman were hit around 3 a.m. when they were crossing at the intersection of Harden and Greene streets, according to police. Surveillance video captured a red Camaro driving north on Harden Street.

The woman was transported to the hospital for a serious leg injury and will undergo surgery, according to the police department. Doctors told the police department Friday afternoon that she was in stable condition. 

The man was treated for his injuries and released from the hospital, according to the police department.

Officers identified the car in the surveillance video as a 2000 or later model Chevrolet Camaro with tinted windows, and expected it to have damage on the front driver’s side and on part of the windshield.
