Columbia Police: Submit a Neighborhood Survey

Columbia Police are asking citizens to complete a neighborhood crime survey that was mailed to the public this week.

The survey covers a many topics including the fear of crime, presence of gangs, drug activity, traffic concerns, and contact/relationship with the department and police officers.

“The survey is one example of intelligence-led policing," Interim Police Chief Santiago said in a release. "We would like to get a better understanding of how CPD (Columbia Police Department) can enhance its services for Columbia citizens."

"Their opinions matter. CPD is also interested in learning more about residents’ concerns and perceptions about crime.”

The department partnered with the University of South Carolina to conduct the survey, which was made possible through a Smart Policing Grant.
