Community Fights Crime

St. Andrews residents are taking a stand against crime by participating in National Night Out on Tuesday. 

Pine Grove Community Center will hold a National Night Out event from 6 to 8 p.m. The event is designed to send a message to criminals to let them know the community is organizing to fight crime.  

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott encourages communities to participate in the night and start a crime watch if they haven't already.

This is the 28th National Night Out sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch. About 37 million people participated in last year's event nationally.
