Richland County Councilwoman Joyce Dickerson will join other state and local leaders from across the nation as a member of a Federal Communications Commission committee.   Dickerson, who represents the St. Andrews area on county council, will serve as the chair of the <a href="http://www.fcc.gov/encyclopedia/intergovernmental-advisory-committee" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Intergovernmental Advisory Committee</a> to the FCC.  Members of the committee will make recommendations on telecommunications issues such as expanding broadband in underserved communities and improving public safety communications.  Dickerson is the only representative on the 15-person committee from South Carolina.
