County Warns Residents of Increased Fire Danger

The county is asking resident not to burn anything before 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Richland County is asking residents not to burn anything outside Tuesday. 

There is an increased potential for fires to spread rapidly, according to county officials. The danger exists through 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Westerly winds are expected to increase to 15-25 mph with gusts up to 30
mph this afternoon, county officials said. Relative humidity will fall below 20 percent.

Conditions are also dry because the county has not seen significant rainfall in seven days, they said.
