  1. Columbia's Cupid's Chase 5K was on Saturday, and runners and supporters raised thousands of dollars for charity. Cupid's Chase is a fundraiser for Community Options, a nonprofit that supports housing and employment for people with disabilities. More than 40 Community Options branches hosted a race this weekend and more than $13,000 was raised in total. (ColaDaily.com)
  2. According to police, a decomposing body was found in a wooded area in Columbia. The body was discovered between Two Notch Road and Linbrook Drive. Police say no foul play is suspected at this time. (The State)
  3. The Sheriff's Department is investigating a death in Richland County's main jail facility. An inmate, 27-year-old Lason Butler of Orangeburg, was found dead in his cell. The coroner's office didn't share information on the cause of death; no signs of trauma were apparent. (WLTX.com)
