Deputies Arrest Attempted Murder Suspects
Deputies say the two men fired shots into a house in Richland County.
Richland County Sheriff's deputies arrested two men in connection with a shooting on Cherry Stone Drive.
Justin Chase Reeves, 20, and Elbert Jamil Ruff, 22, are charged with three counts of attempted murder and discharging a firearm into a dwelling, deputies said. Reeves also was charged with unlawful carrying of a pistol, according to deputies.
Deputies responded to a shots fired call at 103 Cherry Stone Drive just after 9 p.m. on Sept. 26. Ruff and Reeves fired multiple shots from a .38 caliber handgun and a stolen 9mm handgun into the home and fled the area, Sheriff Leon Lott said.

The incident stemmed from an argument between Ruff, Reeves and the victims involved, Lott said.
Deputies arrested Reeves on Sept. 30 at his house at 1535 D Broad River Road.

The Fugitive Task Force arrested Ruff in the 5000 block of Hardscrabble Road in Richland County.
Ruff is being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center on a $100,000 bond, and Reeves is being held on a $1 million bond.
