A Richland County Sheriff Deputy's son accidentally shot himself with his father's personal weapon Wednesday morning, according to reports from multiple news sources.  <blockquote> Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said the incident happened around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Lott did not identify the deputy or child, and did not give the child's condition. Lott said the deputy was in the bathroom preparing for his day when he heard a gunshot, and found his son lying on the floor with a gunshot wound to the upper body. The child was rushed to Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital and is expected to survive.
