Drug Take-Back Planned for Saturday

Drop off your unused prescription drugs at the sheriff's department this weekend.

Don't flush your prescription drugs down the toilet.

You can drop them off between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday at the Richland County Sheriff's Department at 5623 Two Notch Rd.

Flushing medicine down the toilet or throwing it in the trash is not always safe and can harm the environment, according to Take Back Your Meds, an organization that helps prevent poisonings and environmental contamination.
