Here are the top 3 stories in Columbia today:

  1. A fifth earthquake struck the Columbia area early Wednesday morning following the tremors earlier this week. Dozens of people reported feeling the 2.4-magnitude earthquake, which was recorded at a depth of six kilometers by the U.S. Geological Survey. Anyone who felt the quake can report it to the USGS.   2. The Richland County Sheriff's Department is searching for a man accused of stealing cigarettes from a gas station. Authorities say the suspect grabbed two packs of Newport cigarettes from the counter of a Shell gas station on Parklane Road earlier this month. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC. (WIS10)
  3. Columbia's own "pinball wizard," Marc Mandeltort, has died. He was known for founding Marco Specialties, an internationally renowned pinball machine parts company based in Lexington. The company will continue to operate. (The State)
