21st Chesterbrook Academy Annual Earth Day Ladybug Release

Chesterbrook Academy students in Columbia, SC, will host a ladybug release in celebration of Earth Day on Monday, April 22, 2013. Students will release approximately 4500 ladybugs into the environment.

In the days leading up to Earth Day, students are learning that ladybugs feed on aphids (plant lice) and other insects that are harmful to gardens, trees and shrubs. Chesterbrook Academy teaches the importance of community and exploring nature at a young age.
