ECPI UNIVERSITY HOSTS FALL EXPO AND RIBBON CUTTING EVENT

Columbia, SC – ECPI University will host a fall expo and ribbon cutting event on Saturday, October 29 from 10 a.m. till 2 p.m. at is Columbia campus located at 250 Berryhill Road.

The ribbon cutting ceremony will be at 11 a.m. and will include a ceremony from the Chamber of Commerce to celebrate that ECPI became a university earlier this year. The name change is a great representation of the progress the school has made since being founded in Norfolk, Virginia in 1966. ECPI has grown from 15 students to more than 10,000 and from one campus to 16 campus locations. The school has evolved over the 45 years and now plays a significant role in workforce development across Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
Attendees will have the opportunity to see exciting interactive demos, tour the campus, meet with faculty and staff about the hands-on learning environment, and explore future career education goals in the technology and medical arenas. Prospective students will learn how they can earn a bachelor’s degree in 2.5 years or an associate’s in 1.5 years through ECPI’s convenient year-round schedule.

The American Red Cross will be distributing information on blood donation and how to participate as a donor. Palmetto Health will provide complimentary health screenings and the Columbia Police department will host crime prevention demonstrations. East/West MMA will be giving Martial Arts Demos. Pivotal Fitness will provide wellness and fitness info and demos. There will be children's activities as well as a Food Truck Food Court featuring 4 of Columbia's Gourmet Food Trucks.
