Gas prices in Columbia rose slightly this week, according to columbiagasprices.com. The average price for Columbia is $3.34 — more than 20 cents below the national average. 

Prices were down around $3.20 in Columbia around the beginning of July, but spiked to $3.52 around the beginning of August, according to columbiagasprices.com. 

The cheapest gas in the St. Andrews area is $3.28, but if you're willing to drive to the Harbison area, you'll find gas for $3.23.
