Here are five things you need to know about St. Andrews for Friday, July 8.

Today's weather will be a mix of clouds and sun. There's a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. The high for today is 93, but temperatures will cool off to 74 in the evening with a slight chance of thunderstorms.Â
Don't miss out on a today. Dress up like a cow from head to toe and you'll get a free meal. If you dress up only partly like a cow, you'll still get a free entree. There's a Chick-fil-a on Bush River Road and inside Kroger on St. Andrews Road.Â
Today is Picnic Friday, an initiative of the Richland County Recreation Commission to get families out to the parks. So, grab your lunch and a blanket and find the nearest park. St. Andrews Park is under construction, but you can eat at the picnic tables at Pine Grove Community Center or at Friarsgate Park in Irmo.Â
