'Freedom Writer' to Speak to Richland One Community

Manuel Scott, the one-time high school drop-out whose story is told in the movie "Freedom Writers will speak to Richland One parents, students and community members Saturday.

This dynamic speaker, who was once labeled “unteachable and unreachable,” now holds college degrees and is working on his doctorate. He travels the world sharing his story of overcoming adversity which has inspired and transformed many lives. 

The event starts at 10 a.m. in the C.A. Johnson High School auditorium at 2219 Barhamville Road.
