Pack your lunch and join us at the Modjeska Simkins House for a special tour of Making a Way Out of No Way: The Legacy of Modjeska Monteith Simkins. Afterwards, we will move to the Seibels House for a picnic lunch in the gardens. In the event of inclement weather, lunch will be held inside the Seibels House.
Made possible through a Humanities CouncilSC grant and private donations, Making a Way Out of No Way: The Legacy of Modjeska Monteith Simkins is an interpretive addition to the Modjeska Monteith Simkins House that combines historic artifacts, images, text and video, while offering unprecedented coverage of the activist, her life, work and the lasting impact on the entire state of South Carolina.
