Grant Thornton opens nominations to South Carolina 100™

Legacy award program recognizes largest private companies in South Carolina

Grant Thornton LLP and the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce are calling for nominations to the Grant Thornton South Carolina 100™ (SC100) 2017 program, which recognizes the substantial impact of private companies in South Carolina. Since 1984, the SC100 has ranked the state’s largest private companies by revenue based on the most recent fiscal year. Applications are being accepted now through September 29.

“The SC100 is the only program of its kind in South Carolina, and we have been proud to continue this tradition for more than 30 years,” said Mark Ballew, partner-in-charge of Grant Thornton’s Columbia office. “We are honored to recognize the accomplishments of South Carolina’s privately held companies and important innovators, including many companies that have been family-owned for multiple generations.”

The 2016 SC100 ranking reported revenue of $22.9 billion and collectively employed approximately 87,000 people.
