Guild Mortgage Co. Promotes Matt MacGillivray to Southeast Regional Manager

30-year Mortgage Industry Veteran to Oversee Production Activities Throughout Region

Guild Mortgage Co., one of the fastest-growing independent mortgage banking companies in the country, has promoted Matt MacGillivray to Southeast regional manager. Prior to his promotion, he managed Guild branches in South Carolina. In his new position, MacGillivray will be responsible for the management and oversight of Guild’s retail mortgage production activities in South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and Florida.

MacGillivray spent more than 22 years as a high producing loan officer at Bank of America prior to joining Guild in June 2012. A veteran in the mortgage banking industry, MacGillivray brings over 30 years of experience to his new position as regional branch manager. During his first year with Guild, he expanded the number of branches he managed from three to eight within the first 12 months. MacGillivray became the number one lender in Columbia in terms of purchase transactions on resales, in dollar volume and number of transactions.

Mary Ann McGarry, president and CEO, praised McGillivray for setting a high standard for customer service and growth in South Carolina.

“Matt will now be expanding that same growth ethic throughout the region, which is one of the most promising in the U.S. as the state economies continue getting stronger,” McGarry said.

McGillivray said Guild will be looking to add new talent that fits the Guild culture.

“Our people are dedicated to raising the bar on customer service in mortgage lending,” said McGillivray. “Guild’s products, service, leadership and employees are aligned to help people achieve their dream of homeownership and we look forward to expanding throughout the South and Southeast.”

Guild offers a traditional range of residential mortgage products and funds most of its loans, which provides consistency and also speeds approvals. It has pioneered programs to help first-time homebuyers achieve their dreams of home ownership, often through government loan programs, helping responsible people obtain a loan.
