'House That DJJ Built' Dedicated to Family

A Habitat for Humanity house that incarcerated youth at the Department of Juvenile Justice built was dedicated to a mother and her son just in time for Mother's Day.

Gretta Jackson and her son Baryn have a new place to celebrate Mother's Day this year: a Habitat for Humanity home built by incarcerated youth at the Department of Juvenile Justice.

Habitat for Humanity dedicated the home to Gretta and Baryn Jackson Wednesday, according to a report on WLTX. Baryn Jackson, a 17-year-old who has cerebral palsy, now has a wheelchair-accessible home.

"I met so many young children who had really big hearts...just wonderful," Jackson told WLTX. "I'm just touched how many people helped, from the beginning to the end. I would have never thought this would happen, but I am very thankful."
