Issuing of Non-ferrous Metals Permits Temporarily Moved

Issuing of the permits has been moved to Region 2 Headquarters due to construction at the sheriff's department office.

Citizens who need to apply for a non-ferrous metals permit should visit the Richland County Sheriff's Department Region 2 Headquarters starting Friday, Sept. 23. 

The issuing of permits has been temporarily moved to the Region 2 Headquarters inside Columbia Place Mall on Two Notch Road due to construction at the sheriff's department headquarters. 

The parking lot of the sheriff's department headquarters at 5623 Two Notch Rd. is being paved. The project will be phased over four weeks, according to the sheriff's department.

The sheriff's department is asking visitors to be careful entering and exiting the parking lot and driving near the headquarters.
