Judge Sets Bond at $100K for Woman Charged with Murder
Deputies charged Ashley Vereen with murder in the death of her husband.

A judge set Ashley Ancrum-Vereen's bond at $100,000 Monday, according to the solicitor's office.Â
Deputies charged Ancrum-Vereen with murder in the stabbing death of her husband on July 9. Gary M. Vereen, 27, died of stab wounds at the couple's home on Kathleen Court near Columbia High School, according to the sheriff's department.
Ashley Ancrum-Vereen had not posted bond, and was still at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center as of 3 p.m. Monday.

Saturday, July 9 wasn't the first time deputies had been called to the couple's house, according to the sheriff's department. Deputies say there were other incidents in which Ashley Ancrum-Vereen attacked her husband.Â
