Man Accused of Robbing Four Victims During Carolina-Clemson Game

Deputies say the incident happened on Andrews Road near Williams-Brice Stadium.

A 51-year-old man was arrested after deputies say he robbed four victims at gunpoint during the Carolina-Clemson game Saturday night. 

Hardwood Williams was charged with four counts of armed robbery.

Richland County deputies say Williams pulled a handgun on the four victims around 9 p.m. on Andrews Road as they left the Carolina-Clemson game. He took their money and wallets and fled from the scene, deputies say.

Deputies later spotted Williams on the railroad tracks on Andrews Road, where they arrested him. 

He is being held at Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center on a $25,000 surety bond.
