Man Faces Indecent Exposure Charge

Police have arrested a man accused of fondling himself while inside a vehicle parked on the side of a Columbia road Sunday afternoon.

Joshua Davis Oblachinski, 37, is charged with indecent exposure.    

Two women were walking in the 2600 block of Heyward Street around 3 p.m. Sunday when one of the women noticed a white SUV parked on the side of the road with the passenger's window rolled down, Columbia Police said.

Oblachinski is accused of fondling himself as the women walked by the vehicle. The women called 911 and an officer found the suspect’s vehicle and made a lawful traffic stop near Monroe and King streets.

Oblachinski is being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center as of Monday afternoon.
