Here are the top stories in Columbia today:
- The Lexington County Sheriff's Department is looking for a man after his boat was recovered on Lake Murray. David Grantham left home in the overnight hours and got on his boat at a marina off of Highway 378 around 3 a.m. on Tuesday. Grantham's boat was found on Tuesday afternoon near Spence's point. - Columbia – Richland Fire crews responded to a fire just before 7 pm Monday evening after receiving reports that there was a fire at the Palmetto Hotel along in the 100 block of Morninghill Drive. According to Fire Chief Aubrey Jenkins, multiple latter trucks responded to the scene and were able to knock down the fire quickly. Officials the fire was contained to one room in the hotel. no injuries were reported. (Abccolumbia.com)
- A freshman at Richland Northeast High School is facing charges after authorities said he brought a gun to school. (ColaDaily.com)
- Popular Columbia coffee shop, Drip on Main Street, is closing temporarily, citing staffing shortages. (WIS10)
