Man Wanted for Criminal Domestic Violence, Kidnapping

Deputies say the man threatened to kill his girlfriend at an apartment complex in St. Andrews.

Richland County Sheriff's deputies are looking for a man they say hit his girlfriend in the head with a beer bottle and threatened to kill her. 

Jason Tyler Boykin, 24, is wanted for criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nauture, kidnapping and malicious injury to property. 

Deputies responded to an aggravated assault call at on Fernandina Road. The victim told deputies Boykin hit her in the back of the head with a beer bottle after she asked him why he had broken several glasses on a table in the living room.

Boykin then pushed the victim against the wall, threw her to the floor, choked her, held a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her and himself, according to the sheriff's department report.

The victim told deputies that Boykin held her at the apartment against her will for four hours, then forced her to drive to his mother's house. Boykin refused to give the victim her car keys, so she blew the horn until Boykin's mother came out of the house, according to the report.

Boykin also punched the victim in the face and kicked a dent in the car door, according to the report.

The victim was able to leave the house and call the sheriff's department.
