Patch Editors Volunteer at Riverbanks Zoo

Editors pick up trash as part of Patch's Give Five program.

Part of Patch's mission is to improve the communities we're in by volunteering. That's why each year Patch employees participate in the Give Five program by volunteering five days a year.

Today I volunteered at Riverbanks Zoo with Lexington Patch Editor Hal Millard, Spring Valley Patch Editor Reilly Moore, Regional Editor Chris Winston and Associate Regional Editor Carolyn Smith. We picked up trash at the zoo to keep the area so many Columbia residents enjoy clean and beautiful.

Check out the photos from our very hot volunteer day.

We're always looking for places to volunteer in the future. If you know an organization in St. Andrews, Lexington or Spring Valley that could use volunteers, tell us in the comments or send me an e-mail at tiffany.barkley@patch.com.
