Students at Sandel Elementary School are Reading World Champions with a record of more than 4,000 books read in six weeks.Â
Teachers at the school created the Reading World Series last year to motivate students to read books for enjoyment. The theme was inspired by the Gamecocks baseball team winning the World Series. Last year, the students read around 3,000 books.
