P.O.V. Film Series Screens A Night At The Opera Sept. 25th at Tapp's

The Point of View Film Series brings the laughter this month with The Marx Brothers’ musical comedy, A Night At The Opera (1935). Opera is universally considered to be the Marx Brothers’ best and most popular film, receiving both critical acclaim and financial success.


The Marx Brothers invade the world of opera with hilarious results. It is a well-woven tale complete with slapstick comedy, tuneful music and appealing romance. All the classic comedy bits are here: the crowded stateroom scene, Groucho and Chico’s contract negotiation, zany one-liners. It’s a comedic buffet that will have you returning for seconds.

This film screening is part of a continuing series between Point of View and Tapp’s Arts Center. P.O.V. meets monthly in the Skyline Room of Tapp’s Arts Center to view and discuss films of varying styles and genres from around the world.

Couch seating is limited so chairs, pillows and cushions are welcome.
