Responsibility Day Brings in More Than $1M in Overdue Child Support
Parents wanted for not paying child support had the chance to clear their names on Tuesday and Wednesday.

More than 95 people wanted for not paying child support showed up at family court on Tuesday and Wednesday to clear their names.
The Richland County Sheriff's Department partnered with Richland County Family Court for Responsibilty Day, an opportunity for parents who owe child support to get a fresh start. The initiative helped clear 128 cases.
The parents made arrangements with a judge to pay the child support and erase warrants for their arrest, said Deputy Curtis Wilson, public information officer for the Richland County Sheriff's Office. In total, the parents agreed to pay more than $1 million in outstanding child support.
