Restaurants Showcase Dishes at Special Prices
Restaurant Week Columbia gives diners a taste of local cuisine.

Diners can get a taste of the Columbia culinary scene at special prices starting Thursday.Â
More than 30 restaurants are participating in Restaurant Week Columbia from Jan. 12-22. The event, coordinated by the South Carolina Hospitality Association, is an effort to draw more business to restaurants across the state.Â
Several restaurants in the St. Andrews and Irmo areas are participating. El Chico, Wild Wing Cafe (Harbison), Lizard's Thicket (Broad River and St. Andrews Roads), and Alodia's Cucina Italiana are offering special three-course menus.Â

Most restaurants charge a set price per couple with a choice of an appetizer, two entrees and a dessert.Â
Restaurants may fill up quickly, so diners are encouraged to make reservations.
