Richland County Administrator Resigning

Milton Pope will resign at the end of his contract.

Milton Pope will resign from his position as Richland County administrator when his contract is up at the end of June, according to multiple news sources. 

Pope sent a letter to county council members Tuesday, according to The State.

In the letter, he wrote, “I am pleased to leave this county in great fiscal health. I will always cherish the opportunity afforded to me to serve my community and staff.”

Pope is in charge of day-to-day operations for the county and puts council policies in place.
