Richland County Employee Dies in Single-Car Wreck

An employee at the Richland County Clerk of Court office died Sunday night after her car struck a sign at the corner of Laurel Street and Two Notch Road, according to the coroner's office.

Gail D. McFall, 49, of Thorndyke Drive died of multiple trauma at the scene of the wreck around 11:30 p.m. Sunday, said Richland County Coroner Gary Watts. She was wearing a seatbelt, Watts said.

The Columbia Police Department is investigating the wreck.
