Richland County Hires Economic Development Director
P. Nelson Lindsay will be the county's first economic development director.

Richland County Administrator J. Milton Pope hired the county's first Director of Economic Development, according to a press release.Â
P. Nelson Lindsay will establish an office of Economic Development, recruit new industry and work on retaining and expanding existing industry.
Lindsay has served as the Economic Development Director of Kershaw County since 1997. He graduated from Wofford College and got his Masters in public administration from USC.

He also completed the South Carolina Economic Development Symposium and is a graduate of the Economic Development program of the University of Oklahoma.Â
