- The Richland County Recreation Commission began renovations on Tuesday at the Richland County Tennis Center on Parklane Road. The recreation commission was given more than $300,000 from the county to upgrade their tennis center. Along with resurfaced courts, the commission is updating the center's fencing and gates, handicap and disability accessibility, L.E.D. lights, and adding security and outdoor restrooms. (WLTX.com)
- A tiger at the Riverbanks Zoo has died. A male Amur, Siberian tiger, Vitali, was described by staff members of the zoo as a tremendous ambassador for his species, often impressing guests with his size, presence, and beauty. The Riverbanks Zoo says Vitali will be missed by the entire staff and community. (WIS10)
- According to The Columbia-Richland Fire Department, a fire broke out in a home on Cedar Terrace in Columbia. Officials with the fire department say five people have been displaced after the event at the home near the Hampton Park Community Center occurred. (WIS10)
