Richland County to Discuss Animal Care Ordinance

One proposed version of the ordinance includes a three-pet limit.

A county committee will discuss proposed revisions to an animal care ordinance during its monthly meeting Monday.

The Richland County Development and Services Committee will discuss two versions of the proposed ordinance. The first revision includes a for all of unincorporated Richland County with the exception of rural areas. The second version does not contain a pet limit. 

The committee will meet at 5 p.m. Dec. 20 in county council chambers at 2020 Hampton St.

The meeting is for information only. Citizens will have the opportunity to give their input during a public hearing expected in early 2012.
