Riverbanks Zoo Needs Boo Crew

Riverbanks Zoo needs volunteers to hand out candy, lead guests through haunted mazes and take photos at its Boo at the Zoo event in October. 

The Halloween event offers a safe environment for children under 12 to trick-or-treat and enjoy mazes, costume parades and a dance party. 

Boo at the Zoo is a 13-night event that will take place Oct. 14-16 and 21-30. About 80 volunteers are needed each night. 

Boo Crew members must be able to volunteer from 5:30 p.m. until about 9:30 p.m. Sign in starts at 4:30 p.m. Volunteers must wear khaki pants and a plain black shirt. 

Volunteers between the ages of 13 and 15 must be accompanied by an adult. Groups of volunteers are welcome.

Tickets for Boo at the Zoo are $6 for zoo members and $8 for the general public. Guests can order tickets here.
