Seeds of Hope Farmers Markets Start Saturday
Several churches in the Irmo and St. Andrews area will host a farmers market starting Saturday or later this month.
Strawberries. Peaches. Squash. It's that time of year again for fresh summer fruits and vegetables.
Several churches in the St. Andrews and Irmo area will be hosting Seeds of Hope Farmers Markets on Saturdays this summer.
The Seeds of Hope program was created in 1986 by a group of churches in the Columbia area to help local farmers find a market for their produce. The farmers keep all of the money they make, and the churches provide the location and volunteers to help run the market as part of their community outreach.Â
