- Columbia Water is working to fix an issue that has caused an overflow of sewer water into a neighborhood creek. On Sunday, authorities said the overflow was found just before 6 p.m. in the area of Hickory Ridge Drive and Ragsdale Drive. The department said that a blockage of some sort is believed to be causing the overflow of the sanitary sewer and entering an unnamed tributary that then flows to Lake Rebecca. (WLTX.com)
- The Homes for the Holidays Tour has returned after the pandemic caused a pause in 2020. The tour has been an annual happening for more than 25 years, and people from around the Midlands toured six historic homes in the Shandon and Hollywood-Rose Hill neighborhoods in Downtown Columbia. (WIS10)
- The anti-vax movement is making loud grumbles at the South Carolina Statehouse as protestors gathered on Dec. 1, to compel state lawmakers to enact emergency legislation to counter the Biden administration's COVID-19 vaccine mandates. (Charleston Post Courier)
