Sheriff: Man Robbed Woman at Gunpoint

The sheriff's department is asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect in the incident.

Richland County Sheriff's deputies are looking for help in identifying a man they said may have been involved in an armed robbery in the Farrow Road area.

Deputies responded to an armed robbery call around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. 

The woman told deputies she was sitting in the car with a friend when a man approached with a gun and made them exit the car, according to the sheriff's department. The man took one woman's purse which contained $200 cash, a debit card, identification and a cell phone.

After the man left, the woman drove to the Shell gas station at 5102 Two Notch Road to call police. 

The video surveillance from the Hess gas station on Broad River Road shows a man deputies think may have been involved in the incident.
