Sheriff Wants to Commend Citizens Who Stepped In During Robbery
The Richland County Sheriff's Department wants to thank the two men, but doesn't know their identities.

The Richland County Sheriff's Department is trying to identify two men who attempted to apprehend a robbery suspect at on Clemson Road on Sept. 30.
The sheriff's department hopes to thank the citizens for their attempt to stop .
Brown waited until a customer was checking out, then lunged forward and stole the customer's money from the counter, as well as money from the register, according to the department.

Surveillance video shows the two citizens jumping in to help the customers and the cashier by trying to stop Brown, according to the sheriff's department. Brown escaped and fled in a late-model SUV.
Deputies are asking that anyone with information about the two citizens in the attached photo call the Sheriff’s Department’s Criminal Investigative Division at 803-576-3037 or Crimestoppers at 888-CRIME-SC.
