SLED to Investigate Robert Ford for Criminal Charges
Alleged to have violated state ethics laws.

The problems of former Sen. Robert Ford may not have ended with his resignation from the State Senate on Friday.
The office of Attorney General Alan Wilson said Tuesday that he has asked SLED to begin a criminal investigation into possible criminal wrongdoing by Ford.

Ford resigned on Friday morning amidst an investigation by the Senate Ethics Committee that uncovered a litany of allegations of misuse of campaign funds.
Among the allegations was the use of campaign money to purchase items from an adult book store.
