South Carolina Connections Academy Celebrates the Start of the 2013-2014 School Year
South Carolina Connections Academy celebrated the beginning of a new school year on Thursday, Aug. 29, by hosting a back-to-school party for students, parents and teachers. More than 600 attendees traveled to Columbia, S.C., for an afternoon of games, activities and socializing.
Led by new executive director Amanda Ebel, South Carolina Connections Academy expects to serve more than 3,000 students statewide during the 2013-2014 school year. The back-to-school party is one of many school-sponsored events that provide opportunities for students to socialize and interact face-to-face with their classmates and teachers.
