Summer Book Sale Starts This Weekend

Friends of Richland County Public Library raises money for library programs and services.

Friends of Richland County Public Library will be selling used books, DVDs and CDs at its summer book sale. 

The sale opens to the public Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Richland County Public Library Operations Center, 130 Lancewood Rd. It ends at 3 p.m. A preview sale for Friends members lasts from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday. 

Prices start as low as 50 cents for paperbacks and $1 for hard backs with a wide range of genres available.

Friends of RCPL holds four book sales a year. Last year, the four sales raised more than $80,000 for library programs and services, according to a news release.  

Friends memberships will be available at the door Friday evening, or call 803-988-0885 to join.
