Suspect Wrecks After Fleeing From Deputies
Deputies pursued suspect after responding to burglary call on Broad River Road.

A burglary ended with a wreck Monday night in St. Andrews, according to the Richland County Sheriff's Department.
Deputies charged Nicholas Veal, 21, with burglary, failure to stop for blue lights and trespassing, after they say he fled from the scene of a burglary at a local store.
Deputies responded to a burglary call at , 1207 Broad River Road, according the sheriff's department.

When they arrived, they saw a silver Chevrolet speeding away. Deputies pursued the vehicle until it wrecked at Arrowood Road and Lawand Drive.Â
Veal was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the sheriff's department.Â

After further investigation, deputies found that the vehicle was stolen from Lexington County, according to a press release from the sheriff's department.Â
Deputies also believe Veal didn't act alone. Other arrests are possible, according to the release.Â
