Tax-Free Weekend Starts Friday

Back-to-school supplies and other items are tax-free for three days.

Need aprons, corsets, ponchos or ski masks? The time to buy them is this weekend.

Whether you're buying some of the more unusual items on the list or just the ususal back-to-school supplies, tax-free weekend is the time to save money.

The holiday starts Friday and ends Sunday at midnight. The 6 percent state sales tax and any local sales tax will not be applied to purchases such as clothing, school supplies, printers, computer software and comforter sets.
