  1. A teenager was arrested Wednesday evening after stealing a car and crashing it into a building downtown. The owner of the vehicle contacted the police after the car was stolen from an address on Sumpter Street. Officers then broadcasted a description over the radio and were able to locate the vehicle, which the suspect had crashed into a building on Colonial Drive. (WIS10)
  2. Mark Anthony Brewing is hosting an in-person hiring event in Columbia on Jan. 10. The company, which is known for making popular adult beverages including Mike's Hard Lemonade and White Claw Hard Seltzer, hopes to hire more than 150 new employees. The event will be held at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center, and interested applicants should submit their resumes online before Jan. 3. (Abccolumbia.com)
  3. Dunkin' and the American Red Cross are teaming up to provide 15,000 vouchers for free coffee and donuts to blood and platelet donors in Columbia. The promotion will be held in January in honor of National Blood Donor Month and will help ensure hospitals have the blood products patients rely on. The promotional vouchers will be redeemable at participating Dunkin' restaurants in the Columbia region. (Columbia Star)
