- A 17-year-old man was shot and killed in a residential neighborhood in Columbia on Monday night. The Richland County Sheriff's Department said the shooting took place at 9:30 p.m. at 8565 Old Percival Road. The teen was shot in the upper body and pronounced dead at the scene. (The State)
- One University of South Carolina class will be bringing back a student-run evening of entertainment for its second year in a row. The Colaroo micro-music festival is managed by students from the Sports and Live Entertainment Management program. The event will take place at Main Course in Columbia on Nov. 18. (ColaDaily.com)
- 36 GOP lawmakers want the South Carolina School Board Association to pull membership from the National School Board Association after the national group said school boards around the country were under threat from people attending meetings. (Myrtle Beach Sun News)
