UPDATE: Three Arrested in Drugs, Weapons Bust Near Dreher High

Columbia Police are looking for a fourth suspect, Justin Scott Edwards.

Updated at 4:50 p.m. — Justin Scott Edwards, 25, who managed to elude a raid that snared three others on drug charges Friday afternoon, is behind bars.

Edwards turned himself in Saturday afternoon to Columbia Police, according to The State. He remains at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.

Edwards has been charged with possession of marijuana and cocaine. Three others were arrested Friday afternoon at a home near Dreher high where officers found drugs, weapons and cash.


Original story: Three men have been arrested and Columbia Police are looking for a fourth suspect after a raid Friday near Dreher High School that netted drugs, weapons, and cash.

The raid occurred Friday afternoon at 3017 Amherst Ave., about three blocks from the high school, WIS reported.

Working on a tip, police raided the home and confiscated a quarter-pound of marijuana, 1 ½ grams of cocaine, drug paraphernalia, more than $1,000 in cash, an AK-47, AR-15, 357 magnum, two 40-caliber pistols, a machete, ammunition, and a bullet-proof vest.

Police also found what they said appeared to be an indoor marijuana grow operation.

Frederick Alan Nitzman, 40, was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine and marijuana and possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance close to a school. Kevin Allen Fisk, 23, and Bryn Robinson Swaim, 28, were charged with simple possession of marijuana. All three suspects are being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.

An arrest warrant has been issued for a fourth suspect, identified as Justin Scott Edwards, 25.
