Update: Officers Arrest Man in Connection with 40 Burglaries
Officers arrested a 20-year-old Monday in connection with home burglaries around Columbia and Richland County.
Officers arrested a man wanted in connection with more than 40 home burglaries in Columbia and Richland County.Â
The Richland County Sheriff's Department Fugitive Task Force and SLED officers arrested Kayce Donquell Washington, 20, at 2244 Manse Road on Monday.Â
Deputies say Washington was an accomplice in 40 home burglaries in the City of Columbia, Forest Acres and Richland County. He has been charged with burglary and grand larceny, and is being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.Â

Washington and another man are accused of stealing TVs, jewelry, electronic devices and cash.
Deputies also arrested Dantwan Wilson, 20, on July 20 in connection with the 40 burglaries.Â

The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges for Washington are possible, according to a press release from the sheriff's department.
