1. South Carolina's major research universities have told all employees who come in contact with federal contractors they must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by Jan. 4. The move by the University of South Carolina, the Medical University of South Carolina and Clemson University is to comply with the Biden administration's mandate for federal contractors. 2. A small woods fire in Columbia caused some smoke in the Louisa Street area. Fire officials say they responded to the fire this morning along with the South Carolina Forestry Commission to contain the fire. The fire is contained, but smoky conditions may continue until the fire burns out. (WIS10)
